Coach González started playing soccer at a young age. Growing up in a border city gave him the ability to play in two countries – Mexico and the United States. He walked on for the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2007 (UTPB). He later transferred to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

Josue Garcia

Coach Garcia started as the JVB boys soccer coach in the 2023-24 season and now coaches the JVA team. He grew up in the small city of Amarillo in West Texas and graduated from Texas State University with his masters degree.
Coach Garcia teaches World Geography and AP World History at LASA and is also the Youth and Government Club sponsor.
Soccer is a lifelong passion for Coach Garcia, that started with kicking the ball around in the backyard as a kid. Coach Garcia is excited to continue to build the soccer program at LASA and improve our student athletes on and off the field.
